The passing of a great woman

This morning when I reached Masjid Jamek LRT station, I rushed to get The Sun as usual. But today's headline Benazir Killed grabbed my attention. I was so shocked & disbelieved by what I read. Just a few days ago I watched news on TV showing Benazir Bhutto giving speech to her supporters. Then, she said she wasnt afraid of the threats around her. Nothing can stop her from achieving her dream to see Pakistan become a democratic country again. She was a very brave & bold woman. And now she is gone. I'm not going into details about this unmerciful killings. I feel angry & sad everytime I read news about killings, bombing & all the stupid human actions which leads to devastation for mankind. Is the world a safe place to live? Yes, I believe so. Only if cruelty is stopped. But can cruelty be stopped? No, I dont think so. And I dont know how to explain. Al-Fathihah for Benazir Bhutto. May Allah bless her soul. AMIN.

The Rain, The Crowd & MCR

Yesterday I went to watch MCR concert wif my hubby & my lil sis Maia. Maia was restless when I wasnt ready by 5. She was worried sick if the road would be jammed. She was right. We all ikut Jalan Bangsar, & trafik jam quite bad. Rupanye ade polis road block..dari 4 lanes jadi 1 lane. Lately ni slalu ade road block for KL bound during weekend. Hampeh. Finally, we all reached Stadium Merdeka by 6.30. Parking was easy. But it was a dissapointment during lining up at the entrance gate. Gate punyela cinonet tapi yg nak masuk punyela ramai. Sabajelah,,mase tu da dgr One Buck Short buat opening. Bila da dpt masuk,,Pop Shuvit plak wat performance. My hubby & Maia pegi solat Maghrib (konsert konsert jugak,,solat jgn tinggal beb)..& Maia told me dia sorang je pompuan (she's just 15) yg solat kat surau. And the worst part is,,surau lelaki kunci,,then lelaki semua tumpang surau pompuan (stupid betul mgmt Stadium Merdeka,,da tau ade big event,,,bukala pintu surau tu). Btw, Pop Shuvit performed brilliantly. Bangga kejap ade local act yg mampu main muzik hebat cam depa..boleh get even wif Linkin Park. MCR only appeared around 8.30,,kira awal jugak start, but earlier the better sbb dpt balik awal! Mase tu da hujan renyai2,,so u can see my pix below wrapped in free baju hujan. Ok,,since I'm not a big fan of MCR,,I didnt really pay attention to their songs except the ones that I'm familiar wif..adelah 4-5 je yg aku layan..so bila ade lagu yg aku x penah dgr,,,aku pandang blank je kat stage,,pastu kejap2 pandang langit sambil pikir bila la hujan nk berenti. The crowd went wild when fast songs like Helena & Black Parade were performed. Aku ade nyanyi la skit2,,tang mana yg aku ingat part chorus. My hubby pon buka2 gak mulut dia nyanyi skali,,padahal susah gile nk dgr dia nyanyi kalu dipaksa. Overall, the consert was OK, except for certain songs where Gerard Way's vocal was a bit overshadowed by the loud instruments. The concert was done in about 90 mins. As usual la,,laungan "We Want More" kedengaran bila end of the concert. Tapi MCR really gone backstage for good. Sempat bergambar jap wif the stage background (X dpt ngan MCR,,ngan stage pon jadilah). It was sucky during time nak balik,,jem la. Perut plak masuk angin coz x mkn properly. She didnt invite me for God's sake!

This is not a word that came out from my mouth nor anything catapult into my mind. This is just a remark from a friend's reaction when she found out that I didnt invite her to my wedding. Yes, I felt guilty about this. Ok, let me just clarify; my parents paid for the reception at the hotel & I was given a quota of 100 friends to invite. Is that a big number or what? For those who have so many friends & gangs, they would probably have a headache big time to identify which friend should they invite. I also had dilemma when I list down all my friends. Not forgetting to multiply by 2 for married couples. I have friends ranging from primary to secondary school, university, ex-company & current one. So, imagine that I've to take out the names & cut down the list till only 100 ppl left. But, at the same time, I did invite some old friends that I bumped into in Subang Jaya, although it was last minute. I said sorry coz no cards anymore & I seriously invited them face to face & again, SMSed them.

Trust me, if the wedding is 100% financed by me, I would have invited every single friends that I have known in my life. So, please dont ever think that I've forgotten u guys just because I didnt invite u to my wedding. When I came back from honeymoon, some sporting officemates that I didnt invite wished me congrats, or even asked me how was the wedding. I couldnt help myself from feeling so guilty & felt like wanna run into hidding. Some also were being so nice congratulated me in Friendster. Imagine that I didnt even invite my MD! But there were also some ppl in the officemate spontaneously said "She's married? When? Didnt know lah" infront of me as I passed by. What else can I do?

From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely wanna apologise to all the uninvited ones. There are always reasons behind any incidents. And this time, my reason is so reasonable but only those who understand would accept it.

Not a big fan of MCR but...

My sista Maia is a MCR fanatic fan, so giler smpi dia sanggup sms my hubby ajak pi konsert MCR without asking me FIRST! Hmm,,,da pandai budak kecik sorang ni ye,,tanya abg ipar dia dulu,,coz kebetulan hubby pon layan MCR. It all started on last Saturday morning,,when both of us were having breakfast near my office. Hubby showed me an sms from Maia, asking him whether to watch MCR in concert. Then, I asked hubby to reply by saying he would only go if Maia would buy him the ticket. Not long after that, I got an sms from her,saying that she really want to watch MCR & was hoping me & hubby would join, or else dad would dissaprove. Aku mase budak high school manade pi konsert,,takat tgk free konsert kat shopping mall adelar..konsert Sudirman penahla gi tapi parents yg bawa. Then bila da abis Uni,,barulah dpt pi konsert Dewa & Peterpan. After a short discussion wif hubby, we decided to do a little favour for Maia by becoming her guardian at the concert, which came with a price! I told her to buy the cheapest ticket which is RM103 (mahal wooo!!!). Now her dream to watch MCR live is one step away. The date is in Dec (x ingat). While Maia is absolutely counting the days, me & hubby was less than amused. I found MCR songs are way too noisy for my taste. Perhaps if I am in her shoes, I would be just like her.

Ngak sure..tapi yg pasti lagu ni mmg ada agenda tertentu nak attract org Mesia dgr lagu ni..pemuzik Mesia,, bila lagi nak wat lagu bertajuk seakan mcm ni? 1st Raya ever wif hubby

The picture above was taken on 1st Syawal. It was my 1st Raya ever wif my hubby & my in-laws. Tahun ni 1st day kat USJ. My parents & adik2 semua balik Melaka beraya. Pas solat raya kat masjid, balik umah family hubby & bersalam-salaman & bergambar. Then pi umah Tok Wan kat SS19. Situ all my hubby's uncles & aunts berkumpul beraya. I could say that it was all about eat drink & be merry affair on that day. I ate in moderation, coz I had stomach ache due to 'angin'. 2nd day Raya around 7.45am me & hubby balik Melaka. Nasib baik highway x jam. Hubby bw kete mcm F1,,I saw a speed trap along the way..so kira nasib aa kalo bulan depan hubby dpt surat cinta. Sampai je Melaka,,rehat kejap makan2..,then pi Segamat beraya wif my family semua. Since my grandparents da passed away,,we all just visited the grave & also my close relatives' houses. We didnt sleep there, & late in the evening around 6pm, we rushed back to Melaka to catch up a big feast at my grandma's. Then main mercun tu..sapa lagi kalo bukan my hubby jadi ketua. Tapi my hubby tak kasi budak2 kecik (my small cousins & anak sepupu) pegang mercun sbb depa main buta2 baling kat org. Aku da warning hubby siapa among budak2 tu yg main mcm pengganas. Last2 budak2 tu give up & blah,,dptlah yg da dewasa2 ni main mercun dgn aman. We went back to KL the next day in the evening. Smpt singgah Seremban visit umah member hubby. It is a fun Raya, celebrating wif my dear hubby means alot to me. Oppss..gotta back to work! Cheers!

Eidul Fitri

I'm working today. Bosannyer! Aku amik 1 hari je cuti Selasa depan. Cuti annual tinggal 3 hari je & aku plan nak habiskan cuti Disember nanti. I came to work wearing jeans, selamba bomba je. Smlm my bos kata nak kasi we all balik awal b4 12pm. We (the girls) were so excited. Alih2 ari ni,,buka emel,,HR bos kata no early release & can only go back during lunch time. Arghhhh! Tensi jer. I'm not in working mood. Esok Raya. My hubby & I havent pack our clothes yet. Kain baju bertimbun lom berlipat lagi. Luckily our house is in perfect order. Ptg kang x sure buka kat mane, but I'm not going to cook. Rasanye pasar ramadhan pon x byk org menjual. My parents balik Melaka this morning, & I'll be celebrating 1st day Raya in USJ (my in-laws). 2nd day Raya baru balik & tido kat Melaka & a day trip visit to Segamat. I'm so happy that my hubby is such a sporting husband. Xde gaduh2 or making rules where to balik kampung. Maybe coz Melaka is not so far, plus my hubby's grandpa, aunts & uncles mostly are staying in Subang Jaya & USJ. Tomorrow I'm going to wear a peach coloured baju kurung, sedondon wif my hubby's. Dia pakai baju melayu kahwin aritu. I'm looking fwd to celebrate Raya wif my hubby as it will be the 1st time ever. Last but not least, the delightful Kelantanese dishes that my mom in-law will cook for the Raya feast. With that..Selamat Hari Raya, Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir Batin!
